In common terms, these are concretes capable of withstanding high temperatures. These come in different grades depending upon the temperature of application and the molten metals or any other chemicals to be heated/processed.

Low Moisture castables are essentially castable refractory requiring lesser amount of water for castings resulting in much denser product with superior mechanical properties as compared to conventional castable refractories.
These contain lesser lime content and have much higher strength at metal melting temperatures as compared to conventional castable refractory.
Hence these give better performance than normal castable refractories.
