Direct to Film printing also has the advantage that you would be printing on a custom film that lays flat within your printer. The print step and the application step can be done separately. You now are printing on a very flat substrate, so you don t have to worry about wrinkles or printer head strikes that can sometimes happen with other methods.
Direct-to-film printing is accomplished by using a direct-to-film printer on a special transfer paper. Once you run the pattern or design through your printer, you will then coat the print with a unique hot melt adhesive powder on the back of the pattern of the printing film.
