Needle roller and cage thrust assemblies are complements of small diameter needle rollers arranged in a spoke-like configuration. Needle rollers are equally spaced by means of a cage whose web section separates the rollers and provides guidance to keep them tracking in an orbital path. The purpose of these assemblies is to transmit thrust loads between two relatively rotating objects while greatly reducing friction.
Needle roller and cage thrust assemblies also can be unitized with lipped washers which serve as raceway surfaces for the needle rollers. Washers can be supplied separately or can be mechanically unitized to the needle roller thrust assemblies for easy handling.
Size range: 6 mm to 140mm (0.2362 in. to 5.5118 in.)
Design Attributes
Dimensions for bore and O.D. of thrust assemblies and washers are nominal.
Thrust washers burnished at least one quarter of bore area (remainder is rough breakaway finish).
O.D. finish of washers will be as blanked.
Thinner washers may be out of flat due to distortion in hardening in the free state (expected to flatten out under load).
Applications
Automotive automatic and manual transmissions
Automotive accessories (compressors, steering gears, etc.)

Inner ring is processed through heat treatment and precision machining, tolerance of dimension and geometric accuracy accords to the national standard. There is guiding chamfering at the two ends of the bearing race of the inner ring, which is convenient for installation. They are used for situation when the axis can not be processed with heat treatment and can not be treated as bearing race. When the needle rollers with inner ring and without ring are used together, normal working windage can be reached.
Inner ring tolerance of lr is more than ir, terminal facet is not grinded, the price is low and they are usually used together with needle roller bearing with pressed outer ring.

Stud type track roller is composed of a stud used as the tray of a group of rollers and a thick wall outer ring. The shoulder of the stud and the surface retaining ring on the stud form the guiding faces on the two sides of the outer ring. When it is running on the plain tray or cam wheel, the inner stress on the rollers will increase due to the deformation of the outer ring. Therefore the rated load should be selected as curve roller column in this operational case.

Bearing washers mainly divided into as type, ws type and ls type. The as type is made by high quality spring steel sheet through stamping. Constantly, the thickness being 0.8-1mm, applied to the fittings that can not be harden but with enough rigidity and geometric accuracy. Axle ring(ws), seat ring(gs) and bearing washer(ls) are made by spring steel through heat treatment, it will be used with thrust cylindrical roller bearings or cage assemblies.

Zs axial orientation of thick washer: inner axis is less than diameter of axis. Orientation of double directional pressure bearing seat: inner diameter is less than diameter of axis.

Cylindrical roller bearings are in linear contact with the raceways. They have a high radial load capacity and are suitable for high speeds.
There are different types designated as nu, nj, nup, n, nf (for single-row bearings), nnu, and nn (for double-row bearings depending on the design or absence of side ribs).
The outer and inner rings of all types are separable.
Some cylindrical roller bearings have no ribs on either the inner or outer ring, so the rings can move axially relative to each other. These can be used as free-end bearings. Cylindrical roller bearings, in which either the inner or outer rings has two ribs and the other ring has one, are capable of taking some axial load in one direction double-row cylindrical roller bearings have high radial rigidity and are used primarily for precision machine tools.
Pressed steel or machined brass cages are generally used, but sometimes molded polyamide cages are also used.
Depending on the existence of ribs on their rings, cylindrical roller bearings are classified into the following types:
Types nu, n, nnu, and nn are suitable as free-end bearings. Types nj and nf can sustain limited axial loads in one direction. Types nh and nup can be used as fixed-end bearings.
Nh-type cylindrical roller bearings consist of the nj-type cylindrical roller bearings and hj-type l-shaped thrust collars.
The inner ring loose rib of an nup-type cylindrical roller bearing should be mounted so that the marked side is on the outside.
