Guar Gum
Guar gum is a natural and highly adaptable thickening agent sourced from guar beans, which are primarily cultivated in India. The production process begins with extracting the galactomannan polysaccharide from the beans, followed by steps like dehusking, hydrating, milling, and screening to create a fine, light-colored powder. Known for its remarkable ability to create thick solutions at low concentrations, this hydrocolloid is soluble in cold water and has a water-thickening capacity that is about eight times greater than many other thickening agents.
