Bao steel SW718H-P Classicplastic mold steel
SW718H/SW718HH are Prehardened Plastic
Mould Steel which are made by Baosteel.
Both of them are developed with reference to
steel standard AlSI P20+Ni from the US and
W.Nr 1.2738 from Germany with modification.
SW718HH is delivered with a higher hardness
which could provide better wear resistance when
comparing to SW718H.
Apart from the standard testing procedure by
Baosteel,the quality of SW718H
2738/2738H/2738HH P20+Ni Plastic Mould Steel
1.2737HH IS High Quality Plastic Mould Steel.
It is a steel characterized by excellent hardening penetration, good processability, polishability and suitability for photo, this steel is used in the wide field of plastic molds, especially for large arrays with low carbon content, it has greater sealability in comparison to 1.2738.
2738 Mold Steel
1.2738HH Flat Bars is Hardened and tempered steel for plastics processing moulds, with a homogeneous strength even for large dimensions
1.2738HH is generally labelled as Mould Steels. Nickel, chromium and molybdenium are the alloying elements for hardness and toughness. Cold work tool steel with good machinability, excellent polishability, suitable for texturing. Improved through hardenability compared to Mat.No.1.2738, especially for bigger parts.
It is a steel characterized by excellent hardening penetration, good processability, polishability and suitability for photo, this steel is used in the wide field of plastic molds, especially for large arrays with low carbon content, it has greater sealability in comparison to1.2738
It can be nitrided to further improve the wear resistance.
1.2344 Steel
1.2344 steel is a high-quality hot work tool steel and is a high-quality, high-carbon alloyed tool steel.
Characteristics
Good wear resistance at both low and high temperatures
High toughness and ductility
Good high temperature strength and resistance to thermal fatigue
Good hardenability
Low deformation during hardening
Applications
1.2344 steel, on the other hand, is primarily used for forming extrusion dies. Typical applications include aluminum, magnesium, zinc, copper and aluminum extrusion dies for casting molds, copper and brass extrusions for bushings, spindles, press pads, follower parts, shims, punching dies, dead dies, and engagement rings.
In addition, 1.2344 is used in the production of hot stamping and extrusion die forging, hot heading dies, jig dies, hot embossing, punching, and trimming tools. Other applications include plastic molds, hot shear blades and hot extrusion dies.
1.2085 Steel Properties
Corrosion resistance: 1.2085 steel has a high chromium content that provides excellent corrosion resistance properties, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
Wear resistance: Due to its high carbon content, 1.2085 steel has excellent wear resistance properties, making it suitable for use in applications where components are subjected to high levels of wear and tear.
Hardness: 1.2085 steel is a high-hardness steel grade that can be hardened to a Rockwell hardness of up to 56 HRC, making it suitable for use in applications where high levels of hardness are required.
Toughness: Despite its high hardness, 1.2085 steel exhibits good toughness, making it resistant to chipping and cracking.
Machinability: 1.2085 steel is relatively easy to machine, making it suitable for use in applications where complex shapes and designs are required.
Applications of DIN 1.2085 Grade Material
Mold frames, tools for processing corrosive plastics. This steel is recommended where good corrosion resistance and workability are the primary requirements. This steel is commonly used in mold steel applications, including brackets or support plates that are subjected to wet processing and/or storage conditions. This grade is also used in the manufacture of corrosive materials such as PVC, components, and plastic molds.
1.2312 Steel
1.2312 steel uses Cr-Mn-Mo as strengthening alloy elements and adds a higher content of sulfur (0.05-0.1%) to make it more machinable. It is expected that the milling speed can be increased by 30% and the drilling speed can be increased by 300%.
1.2312 steel has excellent cutting performance, good toughness and wear resistance, stable dimensions after processing, and uniform hardness. DIN 1.2312 is generally supplied in a pre-hardened state with a hardness of 280-320HB.
ASTM P20+S steel is equivalent to DIN 1.2312 material. Generally, 40CrMnMoS8-6/1.2312 and P20+S mold steel will have the same properties for final application.
Supply Range of 1.2312 Material
Round Bar: diameter 20mm â?? 500mm
Steel Plate and Steel Block: thickness 12-300mm x width 200-2300mm (*20-120mm plate in stock in prehardened condition)
