Loofah sponge is generated from the old pumpkin type of fruit (Cucurbitaceae). There are two species that are usually used to produce sponges. Namely Luffa aegyptiaca or blustru, bestru, petola and Luffa acutangula or oyong, luffa. Sponge made from the fruit flesh which was already old and dry. The texture is rough, dry and slightly chewy. But still safe enough to be used on the skin as a natural sponge
