Automatic deburring is a process for removing flash from molded rubber parts. We use liquid nitrogen, high - speed rotation and shot blasted plastic media in varying combinations to remove the flash in a highly precise, economical and expedient manner. AutomaticTrimming an offshoot of cryogenic deflashing uses a system whereby parts are placed in a chamber, exposed to extremely cold temperatures (achieved with the use of liquid nitrogen) and then tumbled and blasted with a polycarbonate media. Because the burrs have a high surface area relative to their mass, they freeze very quickly and become brittle. The tumbling action combined with the impact of the media removes the burrs without damaging the part itself.
