Back-up rings have been used in conjunction with O-rings in high pressure applications. A back-up ring is a rigid ring that holds an elastomeric seal to its designed shape and in its correct place. Back-up rings are most commonly used with O-rings to prevent extrusion at high pressures. When sealing the piston inside a pneumatic cylinder, a soft and flexible material is required to prevent leakage, but those same properties may leave the seal material vulnerable to being pulled out of its seat and then pinched or torn in the narrow space between piston and cylinder wall. If the joint cannot be redesigned, or a more resistant elastomer used, then the solution may be direct reinforcement with a stiffer material - in the form of a hard inner ring in this case.
In general terms, for dynamic applications over 100 bar, and static applications around 900 bar, back-up rings should be used.
Seal Materials: PTFE (Virgin Teflon).
Temperature Range: -50C + 200C
Pressure: up to 800 bar (80Mpa)
O Ring material: Nitrile, Viton.
Size Range :
We manufacture PTFE Back up Rings for upto 700mm cylinder bore & Rod diameter as per International Standard Size Chart.
Fields of Application :
The use of backup ring is must when any of the following operating conditions are present in a hydraulic cylinder.
when pressure is above 100 bars (10Mpa).
Extreme and frequent pressure variation.
Large tolerances between the components to be sealed or large radial sealing gap.
High temperatures above 120C.
Excluder seals and scraper seals are used to prevent the outside environment from dirt, water, and particle debris from entering the sealing system.

EXCLUDER SEAL FEATURES
Prevents outside contamination from entering the sealing system
Extreme Applications such as mud and ice
Extremely fine Arizona dust
Seal Materials: BR40, BR40M5, BR55M5, GL5M5, GL15M5.
Temperature Range: -50°C + 200°C
Pressure: up to 800 bar (80Mpa)
O Ring material: Nitrile Rubber, Viton Rubber.
Size Range:
We manufacture ROTARY Seals for the range of Rod diameter - 20mm to 600mm.
Rod seals are used in hydraulic cylinders for fluid sealing. They are external to the cylinder head and seal against the cylinderâ??s rod, preventing leakage of fluid from within the cylinder to the outside.

Size Range:
We manufacture ROD (Step) Seals for the following range of Piston ROD diameter -
4mm to 700 mm
Piston Seals or Glyde Rings are used in hydraulic cylinders for fluid sealing. They are internal to the cylinder head and seal against the cylinder bore, preventing fluid from flowing across the cylinder head. This allows pressure build up on one side of the piston, making the cylinder extend or retract.

Size Range:
We manufacture PISTON Seals for the following range of cylinder bore diameter -
8mm to 700 mm
Rotary piston seals and Shaft Seals are used in components with oscillating or rotating parts to keep lubrication fluids in while preventing ingress of mud and water. These seals help improve components life and long term performance. They demonstrate superior low-friction properties and provide excellent resistance to wear.
