Preparation of Mixture: EKAFIX has two components. Component A (3.75kg) and Component B (1.25kg) is mixed in low speed (400-600 dv / min) mixer until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
EKAFLEX Band application:
EKAFLEX dilatation tapes are applied on both sides with a trowel or
spatula with a 1.5 mm thickness and a 40 mm wide strip of EKAFIX.
After EKAFLEX is poured, the same procedure is applied on top of the
band and the adhesive should not be exposed to mechanical stress
until fully dry. Do not affix EKAFLEX dilatation band joints with EKAFIX
epoxy adhesive. The joints must be glued with hot air supply.
The adhesive used in the cementation process of ceramic, granite, and
marble is applied on the surface by using a notched trowel. The piece
should be slightly glided during the placement and should get into the
final position in 30 minutes.
In general-purpose cementing, the adhesive should be applied on both
surfaces and materials should not be moved after being pressed
together until the adhesive dries.
It is a transverse flexible, longitudinally rigid, dilatation band coated with polyester (PES) felt on both sides, the middle area is made of tear resistant, flexible thermoplastic elastomer (PES) which is used with bitumen and epoxy adhesive material.

Preparation of Application Surface:
Surfaces to be applied must be dry.
Surfaces must be clean, strong, free from carriers and loose particles.
Surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned from materials that reduce
adherence such as oil, grease, dirt, paint, cement grout, rust, mold oil,
salt vomit.
The surface should be roughened by mechanical methods if required.
EKAPAH tape is mounted on the joint or crack with a cement based
adhesive and after the adhesive is dried, waterproofing procedure is
applied on the surface. Cracks wider than 3 mm must be filled with
suitable fillers prior to application.

EKAFIX Application:
EKAFIX (Epoxy adhesive) has two components. Component A (3.75 kg)
and Component B (1.25 kg) are mixed in a low-speed mixer until
homogenous before mixing.
With trowel and spatula, EKAFIX (Epoxy Adhesive) is applied to the
dilatation sidewalls with a thickness of approximately 1.0 - 1.5 mm. The
application width should be at least 40 mm for the 20 cm tape, and at
least 50 mm for the tape 30 cm. To ensure strong adherence, the
adhesive must be thoroughly applied.
EKAFLEX Application:
The areas to be applied should be identified and the appropriate tape
lengths should be prepared. The tapes to be added are prepared by
boiling them with hot air gun before application.
The EKAFLEX Band is laid on the adhesive layer and with the help of a
suitable roll, full contact is established between the tape and the
adhesive layer. In the same way, EKAFIX Epoxy Adhesive is applied to
the top surface of the band.
The application is done with a thickness of 1.0 - 1.5 mm and a band of
at least 20 mm, the layer is allowed to harden.
EKAFIX Epoxy Adhesive tape should not be moved, lifted and must be
protected against water and/or mechanically stressed until it is fully
hardened.
It is important to consider that, in cold weather the drying time of the
adhesive is longer than it is in hot weather.
