A solid perfume is a perfume mixed with waxes. The idea is as old as the world. Already in the ancient Egyptian pyramids simular blends of perfume and wax were found.
A solid perfume should not only have an attractive fragrance, but it should be soft enough to easily apply to the skin and on the other hand the melting-point has to be sufficiently high that it wll not run from the box on the first sunny day. Advise melting-point over 50 C.
Fragrance oils are perfume blends, mainly to be used in aroma burners in order to obtain a special fragrance effect in a room, a house, a shop, a bedroom etc. The second main purpose of fragrance oils is their use to perfume certain places or objects. A few examples: dried flowers, ceramic or wooden objects, closets, pet places, room fontains, writing paper, curtain seams, bathrooms, steam irons, vacuumcleaner bags etc. etc. Fragrance oils are not meant to be used for the aroma therapy.
Perfume concentrates (also called Perfume Compounds) are blends of mainly essential oils and aromatic chemicals.
These concentrates can be considered as industrial raw materials used to give fragrance to a product.
