Next to shrimp and crab, fish products are also demanded by customers from many countries. Therefore, as an effort to provide one-stop seafood sourcing, BMI has established comprehensively equipped processing plants to process fish and other seafood.
Occupying more than 17,000 m2 total areas, the plant is equipped with processing lines, contact freezers and IQF machines, including 3 cold storages to support the production.
Indonesian crab quality has long been world-renowned as amongst the worlds best. BMIs integrated quality control system, which is implemented by BMIs experienced human resource department, is thoroughly applied at all stages from fishing to shipment.
BMIs crab sales have grown approximately three hundred percent in the last three years, thus BMI is expanding its crab processing facilities to maintain the growth that has been achieved. This expansion is taking place by building a new plant occupying ten thousand square meters, fitted with the latest new equipment which will allow BMI to process more than four hundred thousand pounds of meat every month.
BMI produces a wide range of quality shrimp products that include cooked, raw, and pan-fry items. Operated through solid teamwork and processing expertise, all of BMIs farms and plants are well managed and continually improved.
Utilizing modern food processing technology and highly skilled and experienced personnel, BMI operates processing facilities located in Surabaya and Dampit. BMI is also preparing a third shrimp processing plant in Lampung.
Besides managing numerous plants, BMI operates a shrimp farm located in Malang, East Java. This farm utilizes farming methods based on Best Aquaculture Practice principles which are certified by the Aquaculture Certification Council.
