The installation can currently process up to 300 tonnes of virgin coconut oil every year.
Zero Heat: Hand presses that create zero heat is used to extract milk from the coconut. The coconut milk is then allowed to go through the centrifugal process to create coconut cream. It is then cooled to 8 degrees Celsius. Centrifugal machines are used to separate the oil in the coconut cream. The virgin coconut oil produced is very raw and natural as almost no heat is applied. It gives the oil subtle overtones of smell and flavor which makes it easy and smooth to consume.
At no point is any heat applied as at Pranathmaka and we strictly follow the authentic 100% cold process technology for the extraction of Virgin Coconut Oil.
We source our coconuts locally in an effort to foster local farming and to make sure that the freshest coconuts are sourced.
