Cemented carbide is the term which refers to sintered composite materials composed of at least one metal carbide constituent. Tungsten Carbide (WC), Titanium Carbide (TiC),Tantalum Carbide (TaC) are common constituents.
Our tungsten carbide rods are made of optimum quality raw material WC, which acts as hard phase, and the binder agent Cobalt. With powder metallurgy HIP technology, carbide rods are sintered with homogeneous microstructure including little or even no porosity, to a great extent, increasing the whole performance and properties such as hardness and bending strength.
Our HF30U solid rod obtains 93 HRA hardness and at least 4000 MPa transverse rupture strength.
