North Europe Timber produces and trades a range of biofuels, made from mixed hardwoods and softwoods and with varied energy potentials. Our line of biofuels includes wood shavings, firewood, pellets and sawdust briquettes. While firewood and wood shavings are traditional biofuels, pellets and sawdust briquettes are biomass products.
Biofuels are fuels of non-fossil biological origin. In other words, biofuels are flammable materials produced from contemporary biological sources, such as plants. For economic reasons, biofuels are usually made with products that otherwise would be thrown away. For this reasons, they present an additional benefit: they help preventing waste.
We are a leading producer and trader of sawn timber and lumber, cut to size and finished or semi-finished for a range of purposes. In order to meet the requirements of different industries and clients, we supply timber from a variety of wood species (usually Pine, Spruce, Alder, Aspen and Birch), quality grades (I to III), sizes (from thin boards and panels to square logs), treatments (fresh cut, heat treated/kiln dried, anti-stain, impregnated) and finishings (rough saw, planed, chamfered, etc).
Also known as Scots Pine, European Pine and Common Pine, botanists refer to it by its scientific name, Pinus sylvestris. A tree native from Northern and Central Europe, it has been harvested for centuries for its polyvalent softwood.
Also known as Norway Spruce, German Spruce and European Picea, in the botanical and scientific worlds it goes by the name of Picea abies. A tree native from Northern and Central Europe, it has been harvested for centuries for the excellent qualities of its wood.
As wood producers and traders, along the years we have developed a range of wood products to serve specific niches. In particular, North Europe Timber produces stakes and posts made of quality softwoods, which are used in gardening and fencing: they can be used as elements of fences, to hold trees and plants, to demarcate areas, and in a variety of situations.
We produce wooden stakes and posts using high quality Northern Europe coniferous wood: slow-growing Pine (Pinus sylvestris) and Spruce (Picea abies). Those softwoods are the ideal material for high quality stakes and posts because they are easier to use and present a better benefit-cost ratio than other species of softwoods and hardwoods. Because we source our materials in cold regions, where Spruce and Pine trees naturally grow slowly, our posts and stakes are made of high-density wood and offer a better value for money.
