CMC (Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose), when D.S is 1:00, its molecular formula is [C6H7O2(OH)2OCH2COONa]n,
CMC is odorless, tasteless, non-toxic white or micro-yellow powder or granule which is made from natural cotton fibers or wood pulp, it can briefly be described as an anionic water-soluble polymer. Act as thickener, stablise emulsions, rheology modifier, water retention aid, filtration reducer, binder, dispersant, protective colloid, floating aid, etc, it can be widely used in Ceramic, Building, Oil Drilling, Detergent, Food, paper, Textile, welding and other industries.
Application:
Paint Grade CMC :With good dispersion, coating evenly distributed; not hierarchical and stable performance; has good tackifying effect, you can adjust the paint Viscosity; improve rheological property of the paint ;most of the surface-active agents and preservatives can be used with water-soluble paint match.
CMC can be used in ceramic body, glazing pulp, and decoration. Used in ceramic body, it is a good strengthening agent, which can strengthen the mouldability of mud and sand materials, help the shaping of the base and increase the folding strength of the green body. Used in glazing pulp and decoration, it is a binder that plays a role of suspending, uncoagulating, and keeping water.
In paper making industry, CMC is used to make the paint for coated paper, as additive in wet-end and sizing agent for surface. We have different paper making grades of CMC products to satisfy different customersâ?? requirements
CMC is used in mining industry as pellet binder and floating selection inhibitor. CMC is a component of the binder for mineral dust shaping, and the binder is an indispensable ingredient in pellet forming. it can improve the character of wet pellet, dry pellet and calcinated pellet. Due to its good binding property and pellet forming property, the green pellet with CMC has excellent antiknock performance, high compressive strength and dropping resistance. It can also increase the grade of pellet.

Storage and package Information
HeHui Chemical recommends that our catalysts be stored in a dry and cool area under appropriate ventilation conditions. Each container should be closed tightly to avoid contamination with moisture or other negative influences, which could change the productsâ?? performance in the end use. The optimum storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C. Lower and higher storage temperatures are not preferable and should be avoided.
