Laminated glass is formed as a sandwich of 2 sheets of glass, between which is bonded together with a tough and thermoplastic polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer under heat and pressure
Applications: Architecture & Furniture; Bullet/burst-proof purpose.
Benefits:
Safety: The laminated glass inlaid in buildings will still completely remain in the original frame when impacted by any external force even if the glass gets broken. Persons inside and outside the buildings will not be hurt by the splashing glass fragments;Â
Hurricane and Earthquake Resistance: Even if the glass is broken, it will not fall to the ground in whole. Rather, it will stay where it was before it becomes broken;
Explosion and Bullet Resistance: When many interlayers are adopted, different grades of bullet/explosion-proof glass can be produced;
Anti-ultraviolet Radiation: It can very effectively block ultraviolet rays in the sunlight, with a blocking rate of as high as over 99%, to avoid ultraviolet radiation;
Noise Reduction: PVB film can obstruct and absorb sound so as to reduce noise.
Insulating glass is manufactured by two or more than two pieces of glass. The different pieces of glass are isolated through aluminum tubes whose insides are filled with desiccant. The hollow space is inflated with dry air or inert gas and sealed with butyl rubber, polysulphide sealant, or structural adhesive, to form glass with dry space.
Benefits
Excellent solar heat insulation property which greatly reduces cooling loads;
Dry air inside the enclosure renders the surface free from misting;
More excellent efficiency will be if fill in argon other inert glass.
Specification
Air space: 5mm, 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm;
Max. Size: 2700mm X3700mm;
Thickness: 5+9A+5mm, 6+12A+6mm, 15+15A+15mm, etc.
Applications
As modern architecture and curtain wall glass develop, especially higher requirements are put forward for energy conservation, insulating glass has been widely applied in buildings, vehicles, freezers, as well as occasions which can provide quite and comfortable indoor conditions at constant temperature and with constant humidity.
The processing principle of heat strengthened glass is similar to that of tempered class. Its heating temperature is a little lower than that for tempered glass. Besides, its cooling speed is low just like that of tempered glass. The only difference between such glass and tempered glass is that its strength is lower than that of tempered glass, about twice that of common glass. However, like annealed glass, its pieces (when broken) are large in size. Thus, it can't be used as safety glass. The bending of heat strengthened glass is smaller than that of tempered glass and the thermo stability of heat strengthened glass is much better than that of annealed glass.Â
As heat strengthened glass does not explode by itself, it is widely used in glass curtain walls, green
Applications:
houses, partitions and decoration industry.
Specification:
Thickness: 3~19mm;
Max. size: 2440mm x 6000mm;
Min. size: 150mm x 250mm.
Clear float glass is made of molten glass which flows through tweel to tin bath and then to lehr. While floating through the molten tin, the glass under the works of gravity and the surface tension becomes smooth and flat at both sides.
Benefits:
1. Smooth and flat surface, and good vision;
2. Flexible size specifications to minimize cutting loss;
3.Substrate for each level of glass processing.
Applications: Architecture; Mirror;Furniture and decoration.
"Low-E Glass" refers to a series of high-performance low-emissivity products. The vacuum sputtering process coats glass surfaces with several layers of different materials. Among these, a silver layer effectively reflects infrared rays while maintaining excellent thermal performance.
Types of Product
Single Low-E Glass (SLE)
Double Low-E Glass (DLE)
Low-E-Sun Layer Glass (LES)
Ti-based Low-E Glass (TLE)
Specification
Thickness: 3~19mm;
Max. size: 3300mm x 6000mm;
Min. size: 300mm x 300mm;
Low-E insulating glass max. size: 3300mm x 4880mm.
Benefits
Approaches the natural color of glass.
Highly transparent to visible light (wavelength 380nm~780nm), will not cau
se significant glare problems due to high reflectance of visible light.
Allows most sunlight in the visible range to enter without altering its natural color. Provides excellent natural illumination and saves energy by reducing the need for artificial lighting.Â
Relatively high reflectance of infrared radiation (wavelength 780nm~ 3,000nm). In particular, reflects nearly all long-wave infrared (wavelength over 3,000nm). Blocks the entrance of large amounts of heat, and leaves interior comfortably cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Bullet-proof glass is made scientifically by combination of clear float glass of different thickness with multi-layers PVB film. In order to strengthen the security performance of the bullet-proof glass, glass thickness and PVB thickness have been increased. Because of the strong sticking of the glass with the PVB film, the hit by metal can only crush but not penetrate the glass; therefore the bulletproof security effect is obtained.
Benefits
1.Anti-shock, anti-penetration and good safety;
2.Good sound insulation and heat insulation;
3.Strong uvioresistant;
4.Durable and fadeless.
Specification
Glass thickness: 3~19mm;
Interlayer film thickness: 0.38~3.04mm for PVB;
1.52mm and 3.04mm for SGP;
Max. Size: 2440mmÃ?6000mm.
Applications: Â Bank;Â Securities company;Â Counter of jewelry shop;Â Treasure counter ofmuseum and art shop;Â Viewport of explosion-proof apparatus;Door and window of prison.
