What is it?
Acid etched glass with an attractive smooth, silky surface is an innovative decorative glass product, and can be used to enhance all areas of the home. Produced by acid etching one face of a piece of clear glass, it has a distinctive, uniformly smooth and satin-like appearance. As a translucent product, it admits light whilst still providing obscuration and vision control.
Advantages:
When used in the home acid etched glass helps to create a unique feeling of warmth and elegance by diffusing light and emitting a certain purity of colour and light.
Both internally and externally acid etched glass provides privacy by obscuring unwanted attention, without compromising light levels.
Thanks to its satin-smooth surface the glass does not mark with dirt and fingerprints, as readily as traditional etched and sandblasted glass, providing a low maintenance product.
Application:
Ideal for use in interiors, acid etched glass can be sited in a wide variety of applications:
Doors
Shower screens (the acid etched face needs to be positioned away from contact with the water)
Wall cladding
Balustrades
Furniture such as cupboard doors, shelves and tables

Acid etched glass is becoming trendy in design and construction. The consistency and durability of the finish can reduce glare and reflection, add privacy, increase light transmission, and provide texture. It is important to select the right acid-etched glass for an application, and avoid marking issues during its storage and fabrication.
