A J Services manufacture a large number of different styles of fire and smoke dampers. Both fire and smoke dampers play a vital role in the safety of a building which has ductwork system which is connected to a HVAC system. Fire dampers have an attached fusible link which is set to be triggered when a pre-determined air temperature is reached - this forces the blades to shut and allows the fire/smoke to travel no further. The links monitor the air temperature and are traditionally set to 72 degrees, although this can be altered if asked. The dampers are rated at 2hrs, this means that they will contain the fire in place for 2hrs.
The dampers are manufactured from galvanised steel and can be produced in sizes ranging from 80mm to 2000mm with options for both circular and square/rectangular ducting. The casing on all dampers is rectangular, so the dampers which are suitable for spiral tubing have an attached spigot - this is where the damper can be attached to tubing and as such the blades are described as out of stream. The rectangular dampers can have an attached spigot, no spigot or can be an induct damper. All dampers as standard are supplied with hanging cleats, and have options for drywall framing and HEVAC frames.
A J Services manufacture a range of access doors which are designed to be fitted to HVAC systems. The access doors are places directly on to the ductwork, this will mean that technicians when having to carry out duct related maintenance, such as cleaning - which is a legal requirement, will be able to gain fast and safe access to the ducting.
The access doors which are manufactured by AJS are as standard completed in glavainsed steel, but option for both 304 and 316 stainless steel are both available upon request. The doors can effortlessly withstand by high & low pressure and add additional strength to the ducts - the doors are rigorously tested against BRSIA specification and carry certification to ensure both quality and safety. The access panels can be supplied in a wide range of shapes with options for square/rectangle, flat oval, curved oval and pressed access doors all available these can be produced in a variety of sizes starting at 80mm and go up as a large as 2000mm with additional safety such as chains and piano hinges available - this is dependent on range of access door opted for.
A J Services manufacture a selection of a volume control dampers or VCD which have been designed for fitting to the ducting in HVAC systems. Volume control damper help to regulate the air velocity which flows through the ducting which has been connected to a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system being able to regulate the volume of air passing through the ducting means that the rooms or space where the air is distributed will reach desired temperature faster. This means that less energy is used, which will ultimately mean lower energy bills.
The dampers are manufactured in a variety of styles depending on the application they will be used within. With options for ducts with both high and low velocities, can be provided in a large number of sizes starting at 50mm with the largest going up to 2000mm. Because ducting changes shape depending on the system it is being implemented in the dampers which are provided reflect this and circular, oval, rectangular and square choices are available, with dampers being produced in galvanised, stainless 304/316 and aluminium. For the larger VCD in the rectangular dampers the blades can appear both in and out of the air stream, however because of the rectangular casing surrounding the larger circular VCD the blades will appear out of stream. These VCD are connected to the ducting via a spigot, so are slotted directly onto the ducting. For the smaller more specialised dampers such as single blade, constant volume and butterfly shutter the blades are most typically put of air stream a s the components ergonomic design encompasses the blades inside the main housing of the damper
