Easily volatile with special aromatic smell , highly sublime, do not dissolve in water, can dissolve in benzene, alcohol, ethers, chloroform, carbon disulfide and etc. Its melting point is 80.1¡æ, boiling point is 217.9¡æ, flash point is 78.89¡æ, pyrophoric point is 526 ¡æ, belongs to the secondary flammable solids.
Application: it is a kind of anhydride for making benzene, and used as material for making synthetic fibre, 2¦â-phenol, naphthylacetic acid, insecticide, glucide, dehrmidizer and etc. It can used as anti-aging agent for producing pesticide, rubber, plastic, too.
Transportation: industrial naphthalene is loaded in knitted bags which should be transported by trucks or by railway and subjects to the specific requirement of transportation
