Arch fenders, sometimes called as v type fenders, can provide trouble-free service for protecting vessels and docks from damages even under the most severe conditions. Mounted to the docks horizontally or vertically using bolts, the fenders can absorb impact energy and dissipate stress evenly with improved performance comparing with cylindrical fenders.
A black rubber arch fender with a layer of blue uhmw-pe to reduce the friction between the vessels and the dock.
Features:
Low reaction force and higher energy absorption than cylindrical fenders
Single one-piece design.
Strong, durable and long lasting.
Easy and quick to install & maintenance free.
Bolt-on uhmw-pe layer to reduce friction between the fenders and berthing vessels and prolong the life-span of rubber fender body.
Ideal for berths serving all types of small and moderate vessels even in severe conditions.
Recommended for almost all types of applications, such as quay walls, berths, general cargo and work boat harbors.
Various types, height and widths are available.
Cell fenders, also known as drum fenders, feature compressed drum-shaped structures for providing high force absorption and being little influenced by touches from berthing vessels at bevel angles. With simple but efficient geometry structure, cell fenders are extremely durable and stable especial where harsh berthing movements may be present. Meanwhile, it can provide minimum reaction per tom-meter energy comparing with cone fenders, arch fenders or others.
Features:
High efficiency and excellent shear resistance.
High performance at angular berthing in that it can absorb energies from all directions equally.
Impingements plates are available for smaller reaction force on vessels and even load distribution.
Ideal for low hull pressure systems, oil and lng facilities, multi-purpose berths, offshore platforms and various types of terminals.
A variety of sizes and types.
Easy to install and maintain.
Stable performance without loss even at large compression angles.
Low reaction force, high energy absorption and long service time.
Lesser height for higher material handling capacity of deck or vessel crane and lower handling cost.
Smaller size yet higher efficiency, for example, an 800h cone fender is capable to replace a 1000h super cell fender.
Available in a back-to-back arrangement for double energy absorption.
Optional large frontal fender panels to distribute the reaction force and reduce surface force to vessel body no more than 25t/m2. Meanwhile, it can minimize the friction less than 0.2 between the panel and vessel to protect the vessel during berthing.
A full range of rubber compounds and sizes can be offered to suit different berths.
Cylindrical fenders are popular and commonly used bump-proof structures that can counteract the force generated during mooring and protect different kinds of vessels and docks from being damaged. Cylindrical fenders are easy to install, operate and replace taking advantages of simple hollow structures. Meanwhile, they are versatile, cost effective and suitable to match various types of applications.
Features:
Simple and economical design.
Low reaction force and low surface pressure.
Superior energy absorption capability.
Ensure a safe and linear berthing for both large and small vessels.
Can be easily installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally, regardless ship sizes and port sizes.
Countless combinations of lengths and diameters to suit specific applications.
Square fender, as its name implies, is extruded into simple square shape and commonly used on tugs, vessels, boats, ships, small jetties, terminals, shipyards and all types of docks, etc. Comparing with d fenders, this one is stronger, more rigid and ideal for tougher service environments where. Meanwhile, they can be installed in a close manner to avoid ropes and protrusions being caught between adjacent section.
A black square boat fender with d shaped chamber and top & bottom holes
Types & specifications
Square fenders in wide range of types, designs and sizes are available for different purposes. We introduce you four types of square fenders including sqd, sqo, ssq and sds types with different chambers. Additionally, side holes or top & bottom holes can be made for anchor bolts.
Sqd fender, as the most common square fender, features a d-shaped inner chamber.
Sqo fenders are characterized by o-shaped inner chamber.
Ssq fenders are manufactured without any chambers.
Sqs fenders have square shape chambers.
