We can manufacture square drill kellys and hexagonal drill kellys as per requirements of customers. They are made of aisi 4145h forged or rolled alloy structural steel. Quenching plus tempering thermal treatment will be conducted over the whole length. Its brinell hardness can reach 285-341 on the basis of such thermal treatment. Charpy impact energy: >or =54j. The formulated process can ensure that the misalignment of the hole reaches the standard wall thickness. Kelly bars are manufactured according to api-7-1 spec.

All the joints are inspected by florescence magnetic particle and the ultrasonic method. The pipe body goes under very serious inspection in conformance with api 5d.

The weld zone is quenched and tempered through the induction process which is computer controlled in real time.

Note: Drill collar is mainly used to provide bit weight to drill bit so that drill pipe is in tension. Especially drill collar can keep drill bit centralized and hole track by large rigidity. The Drill collar are manufactured strictly from API Spec7-1
