The idea was conceived by an entrepreneur who saw the need for a safe and cost effective way of cooking in the rural parts of the country. The result was a device that was economical, practical, portable and capable of performing a cooking function that was effective. The Cobb cooking system has received International recognition. At a world barbecue fair in Germany, the product was pitted against many other devices from around the world and came away with several awards. Once assembled, the outside shell of the Cobb is cool to touch and can be lifted and moved at will even while the cooking process is in full swing! Key to the design is that after the cooking process, the device can easily be dismantled in to its various components which in turn can be cleaned via a conventional dishwasher.
