Anamu extracts were resistant to a number of bacterial and fungal strains.
Two of the phytochemical compounds in the anamu plant dibenzyl trisulphate and astilbin are believed to destroy cancer cells while leaving healthy cells unharmed.

What is sesame?
Sesame is a flowering plant in the genus sesame. Numerous wild relatives occur in africa and a smaller number in india. It is widely naturalized in tropical and subtropical regions around the world and is cultivated for its edible seeds, which grow in pods. Sesame is grown primarily for its oil-rich seeds, which come in a variety of colors, from cream-white to charcoal-black. In general, the paler varieties of sesame seem to be more valued in the west and middle east, while the black varieties are prized in the far east. The small sesame seed is used whole in cooking for its rich nutty flavor, and also yields sesame oil. The seeds are exceptionally rich in iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, and calcium, and contain vitamin b1 and vitamin e.
What can the sesame extract be used for?
Liver guard: sesamin is a non-competitive inhibitor of 5-desaturase. It inhibits the conversion of dgla to arachidonic acid, and consequently decreases the formation of proinflammatory 2-series prostaglandins.
Antioxidation: sesamin helps protect blood vessels by scavenging free radicals and ensuring efficient nutrient and oxygen delivery for healthy brain function.Antihypertensive: sesamin induces nitric oxide and decreases endothelin-1 production in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (huvec), possible implications for its antihypertensive effect.
Skin protection: the experiments on rats show that sesamin can inhibit the growth of skin cancer (sc) cells. It can protect skin from uv rays.

Introductions:
Lycopene is a bright red carotene and carotenoid pigment and phytochemical found in tomatoes and other red fruits & vegetables, such as red carrots, watermelons and papayas (but not strawberries or cherries). Although lycopene is chemically a carotene, it has no vitamin a activity.
Lycopene is the most powerful carotenoid quencher of singlet oxygen, being 100 times more efficient in the singlet-oxygen quenching action than vitamin e, which in turn has 125 times the quenching action of glutathione (water soluble).
Singlet oxygen produced during exposure to ultraviolet light is a primary cause of skin aging.Given its antioxidant properties, some scientific research has investigated the correlation between lycopene consumption and general health. Early research suggested some amelioration of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, and even male infertility. The most recent study, however, has cast significant doubt on these benefits, showing no link between lycopene and cancer prevention. In fact, a related antioxidant, beta-carotene, was shown to increase the number of prostate cancer cases.
Fuctions:
1.Anti-oxidant
2.Anti-aging
3.Guard to prostate cancer
4.Cardiovascular disease
