How Are Precision Bearings Made?
Standard ezo precision ball bearings generally use stamped steel cages.
Extra bl precision bearings, on the other hand, use cages made from stainless steel, bronze, or phenolic Cages made from these materials offer higher speeds and better loading capabilities.

Silicon nitride ceramic ball is a kind of precision ceramic sintered at high temperature in non-oxidizing atmosphere. It has high strength, high wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance. It can be used in seawater for a long time, and has good properties of insulation. At 800 C, the strength and hardness are almost unchanged, and its density is 3.20g/cm3, which is almost 1/3 of bearing steel. Small weight and small centrifugal force in rotation can achieve high speed operation. It is also self-lubricating, it can be used in the environment without high pollution of lubricating medium. It is the preferred material for ceramic bearings and mixed ceramic ball bearings.
These bearings are therefore particularly well suited for machine tool spindles where the high precision ball bearings arrangement must accommodate heavy radial loads and high speeds, while providing a high degree of stiffness.
