It is used in steel making and heat treatment of aluminum alloy in metallurgical industry. Light industry is used in the manufacture of cigarette combustion improvers. The pharmaceutical industry is used as a medium for penicillin. Chemical fertilizer industry is used as quick acting fertilizer for acid soil, especially for root crops such as beet and radish. It is also used as decolorizing agent of molten caustic soda. High purity analytical reagents, spectroscopic reagents and oxidants are also used in the synthesis of dyes and the manufacture of explosives and fireworks"
