Masterbatch is a concentrated mixture of pigments and/or additives encapsulated during a heat process into a carrier resin which is then cooled and cut into a granular shape. Masterbatch allows the processor to color raw polymer economically during the plastics manufacturing process.
Masterbatch (MB) is a solid additive for plastic used for coloring plastics (color masterbatch) or imparting other properties to plastics (additive masterbatch). A liquid dosage form is called liquid color.

A Cotton bale is a standard-sized and weighted pack of compressed cotton lint after ginning. The dimensions and weight may vary with different cotton-producing countries.
A bale has an essential role from the farm to the factory. The cotton yield is calculated in terms of the number of bales. Bale is a standard packaging method for cotton to avoid various hassles in handling, packing, and transportation. The bales also protect the lint from foreign contamination and make them readily identifiable
Zinc Stearate. Zinc Stearate is a zinc soap known for repelling water and is used in the cosmetics and personal care industries as a lubricant. It is an insoluble salt made of commercial stearic acid, a mild fatty acid used as an emollient and lubricant, and is often combined with zinc oxide.
Zinc stearate is a â??zinc soapâ?? that is widely used industrially. In this context, soap is used in its formal sense, a metal salt of fatty acid: in this case stearic acid. It is a white solid that repels water. It is insoluble in polar solvents such as alcohol and ether but soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g., benzene) and chlorinated hydrocarbons when heated. It is the most powerful mold release agent among all metal soaps. It contains no electrolytes and has a hydrophobic effect. Its main application areas are the plastics and rubber industry, where it is used as a releasing agent and lubricant which can be easily incorporated.
Zinc Stearate is formed by combining Stearic Acid & Zinc Oxide, the latter of which is an organic white powder compound with a slight characteristic odor. It is insoluble in water, ethyl alcohol & diethyl ether & soluble in acids.
In comparison to other metallic stearate, zinc stearate has a low melting point (120 degree C), so it spreads very evenly when heated.
Uses and Application of Zinc Stearate-
Act as an anti-caking Agent in powdered cosmetics.
Act as a lubricant & thickening Agent used to improve texture..
Zinc Stearate is used in plastics and rubber industries, where it is used as a lubricant & release or powdering agent.
It functions as an acid scavenger & processes acid in certain Polyolefin applications.
It serves as a lubricant acid in sanding sealers and as a flattening agent in paints and coatings.
In construction, it is utilized as hydrophobic agents for plasters.
In pharmaceuticals & nutraceuticals, it facilitates mould release for tabulating.
It is a waxy solid and its chemical formula is C17H35CO2H. The salts and esters of stearic acid are called stearates. As its ester, stearic acid is one of the most common saturated fatty acids found in nature following palmitic acid.
Solubility in acetone: 4.96 g/100 g
Solubility in chloroform: 18.4 g/100 g
Solubility in toluene: 15.75 g/100 g
Melting point: 69.3 'C (156.7 'F; 342.4 K)
Stearic Acid also called as Octadecanoic Acid or Stereophonic acid is a long chain saturated fatty acid. It is usually found in Cocoa butter, Shea butter, animal fats and plants. It is a mixture of approximately equal amounts of oleic acid. It is employed in the manufacture of candles, cosmetics, shaving soaps, lubricants and pharmaceuticals.
Uses and Application-
Stearic Acid is used most often to thicken and retain the shape of soaps and is also used in shampoo, shaving cream and detergents.
It is used as a surfactant and emulsifying agent for fragrance and as the base for other fatty acid ingredients that are synthesized into emollients and lubricants.
It is used along with Castor Oil for preparing softeners in textile sizing.
It is used in manufacture of candles and as a hardener in candies when mixed with simple sugar and corn syrup. It is also used to produce dietary supplements.
In firewood, Stearic Acid is often used to coat metal powders such as aluminum and iron. This prevents oxidation, allowing compositions to be stored for a longer period of time.
Stearic Acid is a common lubricant during injection molding and pressing of ceramic powders, it is also used as a mold release for foam latex that is baked in stone molds.
Calcium stearate is a waxy material with low solubility in water, unlike traditional sodium and potassium soaps. â?¦ In paper production, calcium stearate is used as a lubricant to provide good gloss, preventing dusting and fold cracking in paper and paperboard making.
Calcium stearate is a carboxylate salt of calcium, classified as a calcium soap. The salt is a component of some lubricants, surfactants, as well as many foodstuffs. It is a white waxy powder.
Calcium Stearate is an odorless, soft, fine fluffy free flowing waxy powder with low solubility in water. It is recognized as physiologically safe and is insoluble in most solvents. Compared to waxes, it has a relatively high softening point and consequently do not become greasy at high temperature.
Uses and Application-
Calcium Stearate is primarily used as acid scavenger, release agent and lubricant in the plastic industry.
It is used for water proofing in Construction.
Used as an anti- caking additives in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
It is used as release aid and adhesion prevention in rubber industry.
It is also used as a thickening agent, anti tack and Gelling Agent.
It is also used as a flow agent and surface conditioner in production of certain foods.
Titanium dioxide. Titanium dioxide, also called titania, (TiO2), is a white, opaque, naturally occurring mineral existing in a number of crystalline forms, the most important of which are rutile and anataseâ?¦ Titanium dioxide was one of the first materials to be used in nanotechnology products
Titanium Dioxide, probably the most widely used nanomaterial is a white, opaque, naturally occurring mineral existing in a number of crystalline forms, the most important of which are rutile and anatase.
Titanium Dioxide is odorless and absorbent. Its most important function in powder form is as a widely used pigment for leading whiteness and opacity.
Uses and Application-
Titanium Dioxide provides opacity & durability, to ensure the longevity of the paint & protection of the paint surface.
It helps to minimize the bitterness, fading, and cracking that occurs in plastics and other materials as a result of light exposure.
It is used in cosmetics to aid in hiding blemishes and brightening the skin.
It is used in the paper industry to make it more white, bright, and opaque.
The opacity to visible and ultraviolet light offered by Titanium Dioxide protects food, beverages, supplements, and pharmaceuticals from pre-mature degradation, enhancing the longevity of the product.
It is also used in drug tablets, capsule coatings, and as a decorative aid in some foods
