Mica is a shiny silicate mineral with a layered structure. The mica group of sheet silicate (phyllosilicate) minerals includes several closely related materials with nearly perfect basal cleavage. All these materials are monoclinic, with a tendency towards pseudohexagonal crystals; they are also similar in chemical composition. Where is it found Mica is widely distributed and it occurs in igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary regimes. It is typically mined from graniticpegmatite. Apart from being fire-proof, Mica has the following strengths: High dielectric strength. Endurance. Uniform dielectric constant. Low dielectric loss (or High Q). High electric resistivity. Superior insulating properties. Quality Aspect: Along with our other products, production of Mica has accredited us unique in the market. Our product holds good reputation in the production of Mica Sheet, Foundry Chemicals and Welding Electrodes. Fields Of Usage: Paints. Welding electrodes. Foundry Fluxes. Oil Well drilling. Cables & Wires. Metal Explosives. Paper. Packing: The standard packing units are 50 kg HDPE Bags, 1000 Kg and 1350 Kg jumbo bags. However, we can also make the packing units as per customer requirements.
Mica is a group of silicate minerals commonly used in various industries, including cosmetics and skincare products. Our high-quality, ethically sourced mica offers customizable grades and a radiant shimmer, perfect for enhancing cosmetics, skincare products, and industrial applications, making it an ideal choice for brands seeking both performance and sustainability.

PACKAGING & DELIVERY Packaging Details: Dried, Bulk, Rock Port: Lagos Apapa Port, Nigeria Bags: 50 kg Container: 20 ft Lead time: Quantity (metric tons) 25MT/Month 125MT/Month (Lead days) 30 Days 30 Days 1. CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MINERAL MICA Chemical Composition: The general formula for mica group minerals is XY Z O (OH, F) : X: Can be K, Na, Ba, Ca, Cs, (HO), or (NH). Y: Includes Al, Mg, Fe, Li, Cr, Mn, V, and Zn. Z: Comprises Si, Al, Fe, Be, and Ti. The chemical properties of mica minerals vary depending on the specific type of mica. However, all micas are silica (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and potassium oxide (K2O). Some micas may contain other elements, such as iron oxide (Fe2O3) and magnesium oxide (MgO). The following table shows the chemical composition of some common mica minerals: Mica mineral SiO2 Al2O3 K2O Fe2O3 MgO Muscovite 45.57 33.1 9.87 0 0 Biotite 47.7 30.9 3 10 3 Phlogopite 47.5 31 3 0 15 Of the 28 known species of mica, six are common rock-forming minerals: Muscovite: The common light-colored mica. Biotite: Typically black or nearly black. Phlogopite: Typically brown. Paragonite: Macroscopically indistinguishable from muscovite. Lepidolite: Generally pinkish to lilac; occurs in lithium-bearing pegmatites. Glauconite: A green species found sporadically in marine sedimentary sequences.
Mica is a hydrated phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium with formula KAl(F, OH), or (KF) (AlO) (SiO). Muscovite can be cleaved into very thin transparent sheets that can substitute for glass, particularly for high-temperature applications such as industrial furnace or oven windows. It is also used in the manufacture of a wide variety of electronics and as a filler in paints, plastic, and wallboard. Our monthly supply of these mineral ranges from 1000-2000MT.
Mica
Mica is a group of a complex aluminosilicate minerals having a sheet or plate like structure with different chemcial compositions and physical properties. It is mined in the form of "blocks" or rocks, which are then rifted to arrive at thin flexible natural mica splittings. Mica is a complex hydrous silicate of aluminium, containing potassium, magnesium, iron, sodium fluorine and/or lithium and also traces of several other elements. It is stable and completely inert to the action of water, acids (except hydro-fluoric and concentrated sulphuric) alkalies, conventional solvents, oils and is virtually unaffected by atmospheric action. It is transparent, optically flat, easily splittable into thin films along its cleavage, colourless in thin sheets, resilient and incompressible.Mica has a high dielectric strength to prevent current from flowing across it at moderate voltages.
