Introduction
White Fused Alumina (WFA) is made from Calcined Alumina and is a friable product. Like Brown Fused Alumina, WFA is used in the manufacturing of grinding wheels (both vitrified and resin bonded) and coated products. These grains are also used for shot blasting purpose and as polishing media and refractory grade WFA is used as raw material for high alumina refractories
Application
White fused alumina is mainly used for grinding high carbon steel, high-speed steel and chilled steel. It can also be used as lapping and polishing medium, precision founding sand and coating materials, catalyst carrier, special ceramics and super refractory material.

There are several physical properties of alumina. It is high in hardness with the value of 9 on Mohs scale. It has sharp-edged grains, a high load bearing capacity, strong shock resistance, and thermal and chemical stability, besides their superior hardness.

White fused alumina is made from redused fusion of high purity alumina powder whose content is aluminium oxide(al2o3). It has very high refractory temperature, acid and alkali corrosion resistant, stable in chemical content, high true gravity/density, low porosity rate, thermal shock resistant. It's an excellent corundum aluminium oxide refractory material. White fused alumina refractory grades is an important high end material for production of shaped and unshaped refractory products.
