What is Rose Wood?
* Rosewood is a tropical hardwood and it is considered as the most valuable commodity. Rosewood lumber is harvested from trees in the Dalbergia genus, which emits adorable, rose-like scent when cut and sanded. There are different species of rosewood from Dalbergia that can be found across the globe.
* Rosewood is classified according to the regions like Brazilian rosewood, East India rosewood, Honduran rosewood, Amazon rosewood, Madagascar rosewood, and so on.
Properties
* All types of rosewoods are hardwood with heavy varieties. Rosewood offers medium shock resistance with high bending and crushing strengths. Relatively it has good stability, and most varieties of rosewood have almost the same densities. It comes more in reddish brown color, but also dark chocolate or purplish brown based on the distinct types of rosewoods and regions. The density of all rosewoods are identical and has a distinguished rose like scent. It is close grained and takes excellent polishing.
