Barhi: Physical Attributes
Barhi dates are usally consumed fresh; they are packed in strands or branches in 5 KG cartoon boxes. They are seasonal fruits that are harvested during August and September. They can stay fresh few weeks if stored at cool Temp.
The Barhi Date is a round shaped fruit, with golden yellowish color, a length of 2.5 - 3.5 centimeters, and a diameter of 2 to 2.5 cenimeters.

Barhi dates are the sweetest of all dates and resemble a butterscotch candy in taste. These are ingenious to the Arab peninsula. It is usually eaten when it is ripe i.e. reaches the golden yellow state known as (Ratab). They can be refrigerated for months as they are also eaten in a crunchy brown state. more rounded variety of Date that is soft and creamy. These sweet delicious Dates just melt in your mouth, light amber to dark brown when ripe; with thick flesh and rich flavor. It tastes semi-sweet and is as crisp as apples.
