Coconut fibers is an eco - friendly material which are found between the hard, internal shell of the outer coat of a coconut. After fully mature coconuts are harvested, they are put into machines to separate the long bristle fibres underneath the skin of the nut. This process is called wet-milling. The coconut fiber is relatively waterproof, and is one of the few enviromental materials that are resistant to damage by seawater.

The Application of Coconut Peat
â?¢ For create ropes / Coco ropes
Coconut fibers are mainly used to create ropes. Since these types of coconut coir are natural and resist sea water, itâ??s widely use to accessories in boats and fishing nets. Most of these ropes are really tough.
â?¢ Mattresses
Coconut coir is widely used to create mattresses on house hold purposes. Unlike most syntactic mattresses coconut coir based mattresses gives some natural feeling. For mattress bristles of coir are widely use
â?¢ Irrigation Industry & Soil Erosion Control Purposes
Coconut fiber got excellent water holding quality so this uses to create some irrigation systems for irrigation agriculture purpose. Some low-grade coconut fiber is widely used in erosion control on river banks, irrigation and hill areas in large-scale.
â?¢ Automotive Industry
Most of high quality coconut fiber are used to create vehicle seats. Most of railway seats are created by using best grade of coconut coir. Normally coconut fiber mixed with rubber latex to create rubberized coir to produce upholsters padding for automobile sector.
â?¢ Furniture & Appliance
Coconut coir is also used to create furnitureâ??s and the best grade of coconut fiber use to created furniture accessories and most of furnitureâ??s created by use of coconut fiber got long durability. In Most South Asian countries coconut coir is use to create brooms, by compare with other fiber based and plastic brooms, this provide excellent sweeping quality. Coconut coir is also used to create brush and most of coir based brushes proved excellent performance compared with other syntactic brushes.

COCO FIBER is a coarse fiber extracted from the fibrous outer shell of a coconut. The coir fiber is relatively water-proof and is one of few natural fibers resistant to damage by salt water.
Coir fiber is used in floormats and doormats, automobile dashboard, brushes, sleeping mattresses, and for use in erosion control on river banks and hillsides as geotextile. Coir Fiber pads are sprayed with rubber latex which bonds the fibers together (rubberized coir) to be used as upholstery padding for the automobile industry in Europe. The material is also used for insulation and packaging.

Coconut fibre or coir, is a natural fibre extracted from the outer husk of coconut. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses.
Coconut fiber has a high lignin content and thus a low cellulose content, as a result of which it is resilient, strong and highly durable. The remarkable lightness of the fibers is due to the cavities arising from the dried out sieve cells.
The best grade fibers are light in color, gold-yellow (fiber from unripe coconuts) or brown (fiber from ripe coconuts).
Other uses of brown coir (made from ripe coconut) are in upholstery padding, sacking and horticulture. White coir, harvested from unripe coconuts, is used for making finer brushes, string, rope and fishing nets.
