COCONUT OIL is one of the vegetable oils that accumulate high levels of saturated fatty acids in the triacylglycerol fraction. COCONUT OIL contains approximately 50% of Lauric acid (saturated C12 chain). COCONUT OIL provides emollient properties and is great for moisturizing, that make it useful to be used in all cosmetic formulations. COCONUT OIL is specially indicated for lipstick, make up and soap makers. The saturated nature of COCONUT OIL provides resistance to rancidity and makes a very hard soap while at the same time producing a fluffy lather.
