Black charcoal involves carbonization at a temperature of 400 in the traditional furnace. Then, the temperature is raised to around 700 to refine the charcoal, which is sufficiently cooled while the furnace entrance, vent, and exhaust outlet are closed before it is delivered as a finished product. In South Korea, it is commonly called geomtan (black charcoal). The black charcoal supplied by IC-Corp is manufactured with 100% hardwood nature from lychee.
As it is perfect for pork grilling with its excellent scent and adequate calorie of 6,400Kcal/1h, it is favored by charcoal-grilled pork diners like Seungil Restaurant and Subuk Diner. The product is frequently used for Damyang-style grilled pork ribs.
