Most of our citronella oil is Java type, specifically produced from Cymbopogon Winterianus species which is planted and produced in West Java, Indonesia. Besides we have also the Ceylon type which is produced from Chymbopogon Nardus and characterized by higher geraniol and lower citronellal contents. The products have strong citronella odor and guaranteed 100% pure natural. Citronella oil is used extensively in the perfume industries. In Indonesia in general, there are 2 types of fragrant lemongrass or citronella lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus), namely the type of mahapengiri and the type of lenabatu. Mahapengiri can be identified from the shape of the leaves are shorter and wider than the leaves that are lenabatu. With distillation, this type gives higher oil yields than lenabatu, also of better quality, meaning that the content of geraniol and citronellal is higher than lenabatu. We use mahapengiri as the raw material for citronella oil and we always recommend farmers who are our partners to always use mahapengiri as the seeds of the citronella plant that are planted.
