We can fulfill your need for mica minerals, including biotite, muscovite, phlogopite, lepidolite, and K-spar. We have direct access to mica mines. Often, we offer the best prices in the market.. Commodity 1 supplies these products directly from the mine to the global market. There are no intermediaries involved, only our staff on the ground. PACKAGING & DELIVERY Packaging Details: Dried, Bulk, Rock Port: Lagos Apapa Port, Nigeria Bags: 50 kg Container: 20 ft Lead time: Quantity (metric tons) 25MT/Month 125MT/Month (Lead days) 30 Days 30 Days 1. CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE MINERAL MICA Chemical Composition: The general formula for mica group minerals is XY Z O (OH, F) : X: Can be K, Na, Ba, Ca, Cs, (HO), or (NH). Y: Includes Al, Mg, Fe, Li, Cr, Mn, V, and Zn. Z: Comprises Si, Al, Fe, Be, and Ti. The chemical properties of mica minerals vary depending on the specific type of mica. However, all micas are silica (SiO2), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), and potassium oxide (K2O). Some micas may contain other elements, such as iron oxide (Fe2O3) and magnesium oxide (MgO). The following table shows the chemical composition of some common mica minerals: Mica mineral SiO2 Al2O3 K2O Fe2O3 MgO Muscovite 45.57 33.1 9.87 0 0 Biotite 47.7 30.9 3 10 3 Phlogopite 47.5 31 3 0 15 Of the 28 known species of mica, six are common rock-forming minerals: Muscovite: The common light-colored mica. Biotite: Typically black or nearly black. Phlogopite: Typically brown. Paragonite: Macroscopically indistinguishable from muscovite. Lepidolite: Generally pinkish to lilac; occurs in lithium-bearing pegmatites. Glauconite: A green species found sporadically in marine sedimentary sequences.
Mica is a hydrated phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium with formula KAl(F, OH), or (KF) (AlO) (SiO). Muscovite can be cleaved into very thin transparent sheets that can substitute for glass, particularly for high-temperature applications such as industrial furnace or oven windows. It is also used in the manufacture of a wide variety of electronics and as a filler in paints, plastic, and wallboard. Our monthly supply of these mineral ranges from 1000-2000MT. Micro Silica Sand: Micro silica also known as fume, is an amorphous (non-crystalline) polymorph of silicon dioxide, silica. It is an ultrafine powder collected as a by-product of the silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production and consists of spherical particles with an average particle diameter of 150 mm. The main field of application is as pozzolanic for high performance concrete because of its extreme fineness and high silica. Applications : Silica is added to Portland cement concrete to improve its properties, in particular its compressive strength, bond strength, and abrasion resistance. These improvements stem from both the mechanical improvements resulting from addition of a very fine powder to the cement paste mix as well as from the pozzolanic reactions between the silica fume and free calcium hydroxide in the paste. Advantages : Addition of silica also reduces the permeability of concrete to chloride ions, which protects the reinforcing steel of concrete from corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments such as coastal regions and those of humid continental roadways and runways (because of the use of deicing salts) and saltwater bridges.
1. PARTICLE SIZE: The proportion of fragments with particle size under 8 Mesh not be more than 8% 2. IMPURITIES: The proportion of impurities (biotite quartz stone and sand etc.) will not more than 2% 3. CALCINATION: The Mica Flakes will withstand calcination temperature of 850-920 temperature degree centigrade for 30 minutes. The calcined material will turn to silver/white colour.
Mill scale, is formed on the outer surfaces of plates, sheets or profiles when they are being produced by rolling hot iron or steel billets in rolling or steel mills. It looks like a hard brittle sand and is mainly composed of iron oxides, mostly ferric, and is bluish black in color. Being produced during the reheating, conditioning and hot rolling operation for the production of steel articles, the mill scale initially adheres to the steel surface and protects it from atmospheric corrosion, provided no break occurs in this coating. From the chemical and physical analysis performed on the scrap, and according to the european environmental rules, the material has been classified as a special non dangerous waste, listed in green list In particular the mill scale can be classified as follows: Einecs (european commission no.): 266-007-8 Waste code: 10 02 10 Basel code: b 12 30 Hs code: 2619.00
