Siliceous earth is a natural mineral containing high adsorption capacity. Siliceous earth is similar to diatomaceous earth but differs in crystal structure and morphological orientation. Naturally occurring material is light in weight having specific gravity of 2.2 -2.3 compared to other adsorbent materials. Natural siliceous earth is modified to suit applications such as heavy metal removal from drinking water and waste water effluents. Product is designed to adsorb heavy metals from water, waste water and industrial effluents. Zero leach out natural product for industrial and recycle water treatment. Heavy metals such as Pb, As, Zn, Cd, Cu, Co, Cr, Mn and other trace elements are adsorbed to purify the water/effluent treatment. Siliceous earth is used as filler in ceramic industry to achieve heat resistant properties. Siliceous earth is used as catalyst carrier applications, filtration support and used in insecticide and fungicides formulations. Majorly used as filtering media because of highly porous fine particles in fish tanks, swimming pool, wine purification and as a filler in detergent industry.
