SST has improved this range of industrial level sensors and introduced new features such as;
Low power consumption, reducing supply current from 15mA to 2mA
Increased output power, increasing output sink and source current from 500mA to 1A
They are solid state, no moving parts unlike mechanical switches where debris can get jammed and cause unreliability.
