Weld yokes are sometimes called tube yokes. They are designed to fit a specific tube diameter and wall thickness to provide the proper press fit into the tubing.

When ordering a weld yoke you must know the outside diameter of the tubing and also the wall thickness of that tube as well as the universal joint size or series. Automobile and light truck driveshaft tubing can be .065, .083, .095, .120, .134 in thickness. There are larger series and thicker tubes used on heavy trucks and equipment.
