JH series automatic shearwelders, covering a range from 40 to 2000 mm wide and 0.6 to 22.0 mm thick metal strip, provide a low cost method to join coil ends together in a minimum cycle time for continuous mill operation. In this process, the trailing end of the leading coil passing through the accumulator and the leading end of the next coil from uncoiler are cut & welded parallel by shear and welder together. These actions are controlled automatically by PLC controller.
