A Kashmir Rug is a handmade, hand-knotted oriental rug, that origins from Kashmir. Kashmir rugs carpets have beautiful, intricate designs that are primarily Oriental floral style and come in a range of colors, designs, sizes and qualities. This type of carpets weaving in Kashmir was not originally indigenous but is thought to have come in by way of Persia. Most designs are distinctly Persian with some local variations.
