Bitter Kola is a seed of a multipurpose plant, the Bitter Kola (Garcinia Kola) which is a flowering plant found largely in the tropical rain forest of southern Nigeria and other rain forest of West Africa. Traditionally, every part of Bitter kola tree has medicinal value; the seed, stem, and leaves. The seed has a sweet, rose-like aroma, bitter in taste but it sweetens you continue to chew it. This kola seed, which is always white in colour has 2-4 % of caffeine and theobromine as well as alkaloids, saponins, tannins and flavonoid. Potassium and Phosphorus are the predominant mineral contents of our product while the vitamin contents are vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2 and B3. Our product contains high moisture content of about 75% while the ash content is 5.90%, crude fat 14.50%, carbohydrate 10.85%, crude fat 14.50% and crude protein 4.25%.
