Gum Arabic (also called Arabic Gum) is grown and produced in the Savannah / Arid Zones of Nigeria, from the Acacia Tree.

The Acacia Senegalese variety is the prevalent variety of gum arabic in Nigeria which produces the Grade One gum. There is a second variety known as the Acacia Seyel, which produces the grade two Gum.
