Collagen foam made of bovine collagen of type i by the preocess of liofilization. It is designed for local haemostasis.
It is fully biocompatible and is characterized by considerable haemostatic activity, simulation of healding processes in the wound and good adherence to bleeding surfaces. It may be left on the wound until it is absorbed completly. Hemacoll is designed for use in thoracic, abdominal and vascular surgery and in traumatology to stop small bleeding. It can also be used in cases of traumata of parenchymatous organs. It shows a very good effect in cases of diffuse surface bleedings; the foam can be suitably used after treatment of surgical source of bleeding to ensure haemostasis in a surgically complicated wound.







It is individually blistered so, sterilization is kept until use. Different sizes available: 5x5cm, 10x5cm, 10x10 cm.
