Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag conforming BS EN 15167-1 & ASTM C 989-09.
Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) is a by-product from the blast-furnaces used to make iron. Blast furnaces are fed with controlled mixture of iron-ore, coke and limestone, and operated at a temperature of about 1,500°C. When iron-ore, coke and limestone melt in the blast furnace, two products are producedâ??molten iron, and molten slag. The molten slag is lighter and floats on the top of the molten iron. The molten slag comprises mostly silicates and alumina from the original iron ore, combined with some oxides from the limestone. The process of granulating the slag involves cooling of molten slag through high-pressure water jets. This rapidly quenches the slag and forms granular particles generally not bigger than 5 mm. The rapid cooling prevents the formation of larger crystals, and the resulting granular material comprises around 95% non-crystalline calcium-alumino silicates. The granulated slag is further processed by drying and then grinding in a vertical roller mill/rotating ball mill to a very fine powder, which is GGBS. I have in offer granulated blast furnace slag Description: Granulated blast turnace slags are byproducts or the manuracture or iron by thermochemical reduction in the blast turnace. Blast turnace slag is formed in a continuous process by the fusion or limestone land/or dolomite and other fluxes with the residues of the carbon source and non-metallic components of the iron bearing materials (e.g. iron ore, iron sinter). Blast furnace slag is generated at temperature above 1500°C. The granulated blast furnace slags are water-cooled which give hydraulic properties related to vitrification. The efficie of the granulated slag depends on the temperature during cooling. The substance is prominently glassy Price 90Euro/t Slawkow Poland
Granulated Blast Furnace Slag : Granulated blast furnace slag or gbfs is the residue of combustion in the furnace of the steel refining process. It is obtained by quenching molten iron slag from a blast furnace in water or steam, to produce a glassy, granular product that is then dried and ground into a fine powder. Ggbfs or ground granulated blast furnace slag is formed when gbfs is further processed or ground using conventional cement clinker grinding technology. Uses and benefits of GBFS/GGBFS uses : - GGBFS or GBFS is the most used raw material in cement industry to make slag cement. - Lightweight fill - Raw material for the manufacture of glass - GBFS can be used as a substitute for sand in building materials - GGBFS can be used as a replacement for portland cement
We are supplier and exporter of Copper Slag. Copper slag is a low cost expendable abrasive suited for open blast cleaning and due to its low silica content it does not pose the health hazards created by silica sand. Its sharp, hard particles can provide a fast cleaning action and an excellent surface profile. It is available in various sizes Copper slag is abrasive blasting grit made of granulated slag from metal smelting processes (also called iron silicate). Copper slag abrasive is suitable for blast cleaning of steel and stone/concrete surfaces, removal of mill scale, rust, old paint, dirt etc. Suitable for SA-3, SA-2 and SA-2. Copper slag blasting media/grit is manufactured of the granulated slag of copper refineries, and used for blast-cleaning of metal surface. In different industries it is called different names abrasive powder, grit, copper slag grit, mineral grit, grinding grains, etc.
The granulated blast-furnace slag is sand-type slag manufactured by spraying high-pressure water jets on a blast-furnace molten slag.
