Due to some specific usage, the dehydrated onion flakes having large dimensions are not suitable for several food items such as grilled or steamed ones. Hence, some finer substitutes of the dry onion flakes, viz., minced, chopped, granular, and powdered are also proposed. From all these varieties, the dehydrated onion chopped is manufactured from the dry onion flakes. In the starting phase, the unwanted impurities in the form of the outer skin and plant roots are removed by the sorting process. It is then passed through the cutting machine to obtain a finer sized product of the dried onions. At the last stage, chopped onions are processed via the Vibro table having 3 to 5 mm dimensions. This final 3 to 5 mm dried chopped onions are also known as Dehydrated Onion Chopped. There are mainly three different varieties of chopped onions produced by SKY Agri Export. These are commonly categorized based on the color of the onion flakes used as the raw material, such as the White Onion Chopped, Red Onion Chopped, and Pink Onion Chopped. Out of these three types, the dehydrated white chopped onions are in high demand from North America, European countries, and Russia.
