A slip-on flange is connected to the pipe or the fittings by two fillet welds, one executed inside and one outside the cavity of the flange. The bore size of a slip-on flange is larger than the outside diameter of the connecting pipe, as the pipe has to slide inside the flange to be connected by the execution of a fillet weld. Slip-on flanges are also defined Hubbed Flanges and they are easy to recognize due to their slim and compact shape.
Slip On Flanges
specifications. The flange is slipped over the pipe and then welded both inside and outside to provide sufficient Strength and prevent leakage. This flange is used in preference to weld necks by many users because of its lower cost and the fact that less accuracy is required when cutting pipe to length. A slip on flange is a type of flange that is designed to slip over a pipe and be welded in place. The flange has an inner diameter that is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, so that the pipe can be inserted into the flange and welded in place. Slip on flanges are commonly used in piping systems where the flanges need to be installed quickly and easily. Technical Specifications: A. Nominal pipe size (NPS): 1/2 inch to 24 inch B. Class range: Class 150 to 2500 C. Types: RF,FF D. PN range: PN 2.5 to PN 250 E. Materials: Carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel F. Standards: ANSI B16.5, BS 3293, DIN 86029 Applications: Slip on flanges are commonly used in low-pressure applications, such as water and gas piping. They are also used in some high-pressure applications, such as fire sprinkler systems. Benefits: 1. Slip on flanges are easy to install. 2. Slip on flanges are cost-effective. 3. Slip on flanges are available in a variety of sizes and materials. 4. Slip on flanges can be ordered with a variety of features.
Slip On Flange Slip on flange, also called SO flange. It's a kind of flange slides over the pipe with internal design is slightly larger than the pipe. Since the inner diameter of the flange is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, the SO flange can be directly connected to equipment or pipe by fillet weld at the top and bottom of the flange. Description Slip-on flange, also known as SO flange. It is a flange that slips over a pipe and is designed to be slightly larger than the pipe internally. Since the inside diameter of the flange is slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe, the SO flange can be connected directly to the equipment or pipeline through fillet welds at the top and bottom of the flange. It is used to insert the pipe into the flange.

Sliding pipe clamps. These pipe flanges slide on the pipe. They are made with an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe. These fasteners are connected to the pipe via a corner weld at the top and bottom of the flange. The weld neck flanges have a longer life than the slip-on flanges. The sliding flanges are all slightly larger than the O. D. of the pipe. They are preferred to weld neck flanges by many users because of their lower initial cost, but the final cost of installation is probably not much less than that of the weld neck flange due to the weld additional involved. Advantages of using Highborn Slip-On flanges are as follows: Low cost installation Less time needed to spent on ensuring the accuracy of the cut pipe They are somewhat easier to align The slip-on flanges have low hub because the pipe slips into the flange before welding The flange is welded both inside and outside to provide sufficient strength They prevent leakage They are preferred to weld neck flanges by many users because of their lower initial cost, but the final cost of installation is probably not much less than that of the weld neck flange due to the weld additional involved.
