Mica are sheet silicates historically significant for their ability to be split into large, thin sheets that are uniquely useful for their electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties. They have high electrical and thermal insulating properties; they are resistant to chemical attack; they can be split into transparent or optically flat films; and they can be cut or stamped to shape. Uses of mica: 1- Joint cements: muscovite is used in drywall joint compounds, where it contributes to consistency and workability, smooth surface finish, and resistance to shrinkage and cracking. 2- Coatings Fine-ground, -325 mesh and micronized mica grades are used in paint as a pigment extender and for dry film reinforcement. The inert, platy mica improves suspensi on stability, controls film checking, chalking, shrinkage, and blistering, improves resistance to weathering, chemicals, and water penetration, and improves adhesion to most surfaces. Coarser grinds are used in textured paints, and wet-ground mica is used in high quality exterior house paints. High aspect ratio grades are preferred for porous surface sealers to seal pores, control penetration, and reduce sagging and film cracking. 3- Plastics Finely ground, -325 mesh and micronized micas are used in plastics to improve electrical, thermal, and insulating properties. Mica is considered the most effective mineral for reducing warpage and increasing stiffness and heat deflection temperature in plastics. In general, mica reinforces crystalline better than amorphous polymers. Best results are obtained with nonpolar polymers when mica is pretreated with a coupling agent to improve wetting. Mica is used in both thermoplastics and thermosets. Its largest single use is in polyolefins, even though it requires stabilizers to prevent degradation of polypropylene. 4- Drilling fluids Coarse, hammermilled (+10 mesh) mica is used in waterbased oilwell drilling fluids to prevent fluid loss into porous rock formations.

They are pure white sand rocks that contain a high percentage of SiO2 silica (more than 99%) mainly composed of quartz mineral granules and contain a small amount of impurities and heavy metals (less than 0.1%). As for the term glass sand, it is called silica sand (quartz), which has physical and chemical properties that are suitable for the glass industry, for example, the size of the granules, which usually ranges between 100 - 500 microns, and the percentage of iron oxides (Fe2O3) less than 0.05%. Silica sands are uncovered in several areas in southern Jordan, and these sands date back to the lower Ordevici and lower Cretaceous periods. Glass sand use 1- Glassware, crystal glass, glass panels, fiberglass, optics glass. 2- Reducing solvent factor for base oxides in dissolution processes. 3- Water filters in wastewater stations and swimming pools. 4- A filler and extender material for the rubber, plastics, paper, paints and a special type of cement.
SILICA SAND Silica Sand Applications Silica sands have a large number of industrial uses depending on their characteristics. 1. Production of glass. 2. Foundry sand. 3. Ceramics. 4. Sandblasting and other abrasives. 5. building products. 6. Filler and extender. 7. Production of silicon and silicon compounds. 8. Pigments. 9. Hydraulic fracturing and propping in the oil industry. 10. Ultra-high silica products in the electronic and fiber optic industries, fused silica. 11. Water filtration. CRYSTAL MOUNT CO. FOR MINING & SUPPLYING explored and produced many types of high-quality silica sand used for glass making, ceramic, foundry, sport yard and Water filtration.

TALC ROCK Talc has the ability to absorb moisture, oils, odor, serve as a lubricant, and produce an astringent effect on human skin. These properties have made talcum powder an important ingredient in many baby powders, foot powders, first aid powders, and a variety of cosmetics. Uses of Talc 1 Plastics It is mainly used as a filler. Increase the stiffness of products such as polypropylene, vinyl, polyethylene, nylon, and polyester .It can also increase the heat resistance of these products and reduce shrinkage. 2 Ceramics In the manufacturing of ceramics products such as bathroom fixtures, ceramic tile, pottery, and dinnerware. Improve the firing characteristics of the green ware and the strength of the finished product. 3 Paint Talc is used as an extender and filler in paints. The platy shape of talc particles improves the suspension of solids in the can and helps the liquid paint adhere to a wall without sagging. Talc an excellent filler in paint because it simultaneously serves to whiten and brighten the paint. 4 Paper Talc as a mineral filler can improve the opacity, brightness, and whiteness of the paper. Talc also can also improve the paper¯¿½??¢??s ability to absorb ink. 5 Cosmetics and Antiperspirants Talc is used as the powder base of many cosmetic products. The tiny platelets of a talc powder readily adhere to the skin but can be washed off easily. Talc¯¿½??¢??s softness allows it to be applied and removed without causing skin abrasion. The ability of talc to absorb moisture, absorb odor, adhere to the skin, serve as a lubricant, and produce an astringent effect in contact with human skin make it an important ingredient in many antiperspirants.. 6 Roofing Materials Talc is added to the asphaltic materials used to make roofing materials to improve their weather resistance. It is also dusted onto the surface of roll roofing and shingles to prevent sticking. 7 Dimension Stone A rock is known as ¯¿½??¢??soapstone¯¿½??¢?? is a massive variety of talc with varying amounts of other minerals such as micas, chlorite, amphiboles, and pyroxenes. It is a soft rock that is easy to work, and that has caused it to be used in a wide variety of dimension stone and sculpture applications. 8 It is used for countertops, electrical panels, hearthstones, figurines, statuary, and many other projects. 9 Ground talc is used as a lubricant in applications where high temperatures are involved. 10 It is able to survive at temperatures where oil-based lubricants would be destroyed. 11 Talc powder is used as a carrier for insecticides and fungicides. 12 It can easily be blown through a nozzle and readily sticks to the leaves and stems of plants. 13 Its softness reduces wear on application equipment. CRYSTAL MOUNT CO. FOR MINING & SUPPLYING (limited) provide talc rock in different types with high quality and commitment in delivery.
Quartz Powder / Lumps / Grits is a very common mineral present in all types of rocks. Rocks are generally classified in 3 types Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic. Quartz is available in all three types of rocks. Here in our area quartz is extracted from Feldspar mines and some area it is freely available over the soil. Extracted quartz lumps is processed in our machines mainly ball mill and grits plant and convert it in the different type of quartz. When Quartz is crushed and brought into powder form, it is known as Quartz powder. Quartz is the form of silica, it has different chemical orientation than silica but has the same chemical formula that is SiO2 (Silicon dioxide). Superfine quartz powder has one of a kind physical and substance properties and assumes a critical job in numerous regions. Its high-temperature opposition, warm extension coefficient, piezoelectric impact, reverberation impact, and the exceptional optical properties, is a conspicuous job in some cutting edge items, particularly in aeronautics, aviation, gadgets, hardware, and IT enterprises. We have Quartz Silica powder with Maximum Purity Of 99.75% Sio2. The Mesh Size is available from 100 mesh to 300 Mesh. This sand is super white in color and available in 0.1 mm to 3.0 mm also in mesh size like 8/12, 16/30, 24/60, 30/80, 50/150. Mahaveer Minerals is one of the best Quartz Powder Manufacturers, Suppliers in India. We also provide Quartz Grits and Quartz Slabs at an affordable price.
