Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets are made by a sintering process and exist in two forms. The first is Sm1Co5(SmCo 1:5),which has a maximum energy product of between 14 and 24MGOe. The second and more common form is Sm2Co17(SmCo 2:17) which has a maximum energy product of between 22 and 32 MGOe. The main Sm2Co17 alloy is around 35% Samarium (Sm)and 60% Cobalt (Co)with the balance being from varying amounts of lron (Fe) Copper (Cu). Hafnium (Hf) and Zirconium (Zr). Praseodymium (Pr) may also be used. Sm1Co5 is made of only Sm and Co and has excellent corrosion resistance.

Sintered AINiCo offer slightly lower magnetic properties but better mechanical characteristics. it can be efficiently magnetized in any direction, and for anisotropic AINiComagnet, it generally has greater magnetic capacitive in a preferred orientation than isotropic types. AINiCo is hard and brittle, Machining or drilling cannot therefore be accomplished by ordinary methods. Holes are usually cored in at the foundry, and magnets are cast close to final size and then finish machined to closer tolerances.

Calcined Bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating) superior grade Bauxite at high temperature (from 850 oC to 1600 oC). This removes moisture thereby increasing the alumina content. Compared to an alumina content of about 57 % to 58 % in raw Bauxite, Calcined Bauxite has an alumina content of 82 % to 86 %. The heating is carried out in rotary kilns. Calcination is done at different temperatures ranging from 850 oC to 1600 oC depending upon the customer’s application.

Applications of Calcined Bauxite:

Brown Fused Alumina, Proppants and Road Surfacing : To make the above grades, Bauxite is thermally treated at 1000 oC - 1200 oC to produce Calcined Bauxite where the Alumina content is anywhere between 80-88% depending on the requirement.

APPLICATIONS
1. Milk is first heated (pasteurizing) to 85�°C and held for 12 minutes.
2. Add 2% to 20% of LAS 4NF based on the Protein Content of the Milk to
the pasteurized milk and stir slowly to ensure full dissolving at 80C.
3. LAS 4NF itself contains coagulant. If necessary add coagulant as per the costumer requirement slowly to the milk by slow stirring, maintaining the
temperature at 70�° C.
4. Keep Slow stirring for complete separation of solids and whey.
(Indication: Whey will turn to light green color and small lumps of solids
will settle down)
5. The whey water is filtered through a fine mesh of muslin cloth. The separated particles remain in muslin cloth and it is held in hoofer.
6. Apply pressure on the covered solid spread evenly on hoofer, with a flat lid in lay till water droplets stop.
7. Then the Paneer is pre-cooled in pure water at room temperature for 10 mins or till the external sides can be held in hand water for 10 mins , then
dip in chilled water for 4 hours.
DOSAGE
Use 2 to 20% of LAS 4NF of total batch size, based on the protein content of the milk. For lower protein content in the milk higher LAS 4NF need
to be used.
