MIT-50 is an active ingredient solution for the preservation of paints, binder dispersions, adhesives and other technical products.
MIT-50 contains an active substance permitted for use in food contact coatings and adhesives provided that the customary dosage rates are not exceeded.
MIT-50 is a straight aqueous solution of the active ingredient Methylisothiazolone, and does not contribute to VOC and AOX.

Performance characteristics
1. With bactericidal, antibacterial, highly-efficient, broad-spectrum, and long-lasting features.
2. Miscible with water and easy to use.
3. Will cause no harm at the recommended concentration of using.
4. Dont accumulate in the environment; easily degraded.
5. Suitable for use in the medium of the pH value in the range of 2 to 12.
6. Good compatibility with body care products in surfactants and emulsifiers.
Usage andCautions
1. For use in paints, synthetic polymer emulsions and other water-based systems, the general concentration of using is 0.05-0.1% (w/w); for use in daily chemicals, the concentration is 0.02-0.1% (w/w), depending on the storage environment and whether the product is susceptible to damage of microorganisms.
2. It can be added at any production step; but it's suggested to be added at the final step at less than 50 ; avoid adding at a temperature of higher than 50 . Wear protective clothes, rubber gloves, goggles and masks; avoid any contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.

CMIT/MIT is a liquid biocide with outstanding advantages such as rapid inhabitation of growth and macromolecule synthesis, broad spectrum activity, effective at low concentration and against biofilm as well as a wide pH range, biodegradable non-persistent in the environment, non-surface activity, infrequent dosing, easily deactivated, compatibility, low toxicity, water soluble, non-foaming, cost effectiveness etc. The active ingredient is a mixture of two isothiazolines. CMIT/MIT is ideally suited to meet the requirement of an industrial water treatment biocide for bacteria, fungi and algae paper mill slimicide.
Isothiazolinone is a fungicide with the chemical formula C8H9ClN2O2S2, mainly composed of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazoline-3 - Ketone (MIT) composition. Isothiazolinones act by breaking the bonds of bacterial and algal proteins. After contacting with microorganisms, isothiazolones can quickly and irreversibly inhibit their growth, resulting in the death of microbial cells, so they have strong inhibitory and killing effects on common bacteria, fungi, algae, etc.
Isothiazolinone fungicides are also widely used in iron and steel smelting, oil field water injection, oil refineries, thermal power plants, large chemical fertilizer plants, paper mills, textiles, water-coated coatings, industrial cleaning and other fields.
