1XXX aluminum plate characteristics
1. Small density: the density of pure aluminum is close to 2700kg/m3, about 35% of the density of iron.
2. Can be strengthened: pure aluminum through cold working can make its strength more than double. And can be alloyed by adding magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, silicon, lithium, scandium and other elements, and then further strengthened by heat treatment, its specific strength can be comparable with the alloy steel.
3. Easy to process: aluminum with any kind of casting method casting. Aluminum plasticity is good, can be rolled into thin plates and foils; pulled into tubes and filaments; extruded into a variety of civil profiles; can be most of the machine tools can achieve a large speed for turning, milling, boring, planing and other machining.
4. Corrosion resistance: the surface of aluminum and its alloys, easy to generate a layer of dense, solid Al2O3 protective film. This layer of protective film only halogen ions or alkali ions under the intense action will be destroyed. Therefore, aluminum has a very good resistance to atmospheric (including industrial atmosphere and marine vapor) corrosion and water corrosion. 5. No low-temperature brittleness: aluminum below zero degrees Celsius, as the temperature decreases, the strength and plasticity will not be reduced, but improved.
6. Good electrical and thermal conductivity: aluminum's electrical and thermal conductivity is second to silver, copper and gold.
7. Reflective: aluminum polished surface of white light reflectivity of more than 80%, the higher the purity, the higher the reflectivity. At the same time, aluminum to infrared, ultraviolet, electromagnetic waves, thermal radiation, etc. have good reflective properties.
